Shot from below, which makes her taller than you whether you like it or not. The white top is the only cold thing in the picture. Everything around it runs warm, and what is nearly visible underneath it stays nearly visible. That is the whole photograph.

Who is Katrina Moreno?

Katrina Moreno is a Uruguayan actress, model and content creator; those are the words she uses for herself on her own website.

She has worked in front of the camera since 2016, including for production companies in Europe. Alongside that work she releases her own, through her channels on Instagram and X, and she addresses both a Spanish- and an English-speaking audience.

This summary is put together from publicly available sources and has not been checked with her. If something here is wrong or she would rather it were not here, write to the studio and it is corrected or removed.

Painting Katrina Moreno in the studio

The gold is real gold leaf, not paint. There is no gold in oil paint, and whatever you build with it is a pile of decisions pretending to be something it cannot be. I do not ask it to pretend any more.

The weeks went into her face and got nowhere. She is looking away and there are sunglasses in between, and together they put her out of reach, close to arrogant. I kept trying to take that out of her and I never managed it. So it stopped with the refusal still in it.

Katrina Moreno paintings: what exists

There is one original painting of Katrina Moreno, oil and gold leaf on stretched canvas, 120 × 100 cm. It is a one of one: signed, with a certificate of authenticity, and it will not be painted again. It is also available as a hand-signed print in an edition capped at 50, printed once and never reprinted. The canvas was painted by hand from that photograph; what it became is the painter's doing, not hers.

What is still available, and at what price, is on the cards below.

“Something stops me. Then I have to deal with it.”

I wrote to Katrina Moreno about this painting, as I do to every woman in the series. Not every message gets an answer. If you are Katrina Moreno, or you made the photograph, and you would rather it were not shown here: write to the studio and it comes down. No explanation needed.
