TattoosKayleigh signed print on paper

A signed print of the oil painting Kayleigh (Tattoos).

photographs get her wrong.

From the painting: "She has a face that photographs as arrogant and a personality that is the exact opposite of that."

Printed once, in an edition of no more than fifty, signed by hand. When the edition is gone it is not reprinted. This exists so the image can hang somewhere the original never will. The painting itself stays one of a kind.

Inspired by a photograph of Kayleigh Swenson (@vikingbarbie). What the painting makes of it is my doing, not hers. Part of Painted Idols.

The photograph this came from was made to be forgotten. The painting was not. It took weeks, and this sheet puts it somewhere it gets looked at every day.

Ordering takes a minute. Deciding where it goes is the part that takes nerve, because everyone who walks into that room will see it and decide something about you. That is the real decision, and it is yours. The ones who hang these stop noticing the reaction after about a month, and never stop noticing the picture. Hang it anyway.

The edition was closed before the first sheet was sold, so what the shop lists is what is left of that run. If you have read this far, you have already put it on a wall.
